It might be me, but style boxes are underwhelming lately. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but everything feels...blah. I was excited to receive my Trendsend by Evereve box this month because they usually have great pieces. They bring the happy (even if it's on the pricey side).

Take a look at this month's box and let me know if anything sparked joy for you. Then read below to see if I found something to love, too.

ALLISON JOY Raquel Mesh Tank $19.99

This is the second time I've received this top. Still don't like it. The colors and the print don't work for me. Plus the material is waiting for me to ruin it by accidentally dragging my nail across it.

SENT BACK (again)

HUDSON Gemma Short $89.99

These were SO comfortable. I wish they hadn't been so long in the rise. I could use a pair of shorts like this. But I can't justify a premium price for something that doesn't fit right. Yes, I could have them tailored, but who tailors cut-offs?? I'll pass on that.

KUT FROM THE KLOTH High Rise Fab Ab Natalie Bootcut $89

These jeans were perfect. If I didn't already have a similar pair, I would have kept them. The details on them made them feel unique. I always like that.

SENT BACK

These have fab reviews. You should definitely get a pair here!

LOVESTITCH Izabel Tie Dye Wrap $44.99

Colorful, flowy, and lightweight. It's everything you want a summer wrap to be. I don't pick up wraps/kimonos/caftans often because of the heat factor where I live. But I like to have them on hand. They add character to a casual outfit.

KEPT

ROAN + RYAN Clara Ikat Tank $44.99

Nothing about this top was appealing to me. It is not busty-gal friendly. Front keyholes rarely lay nicely over my ample chest. It's not the top's fault, it's just how it is. I'm also not a fan of ikat prints, so I have no interest in adding this to my closet.

Z SUPPLY City Tank $29.99

The drape on this top is, again, not busty-gal friendly. The way it falls suggests that it was not designed with a 34G chest in mind. Again, it's not the top's fault. But it drops off like a cliff, which is not my best look.

SENT BACK

If you have a smaller frame, check it out! It's on sale here: https://evereve.com/city-tank-46272-c

COMMANDO Faux Leather Paperbag Pant $188

Whew! Alright, to be fair, these pants probably look good on someone else. But they did not flatter my short-waisted frame. Plus they looked so bulky across the midsection, IMO. Plus the price! I prefer not to pay a premium for trendy items like this. I won't get my money's worth out of them before they become passé.

SENT BACK

This wasn't the box I was hoping for. I kept one item so that my styling fee wasn't wasted.

I will be spending more time doing my own shopping for a while, rather than rely on style boxes. It's not working out for me. I am (obviously) a stylist myself, but I request style boxes for convenience. I love to shop, but, like many of you, going shopping is a chore. It's easier if I let someone else do it for me. The problem is that I can't seem to get my unique style across to these strangers. I am 100% into using style boxes, but only if you have a firm grasp on your own style. Otherwise, you'll end up filling your closet with a lot of random pieces that don't make sense for you. Can you imagine what my closet would look like if I got my "style" from Stitch Fix or Trendsend? Use style boxes as a shopping tool - not as a way to discover your style. If you need help discovering your style, DM me on Instagram. I'm happy to help!
